Peer Response to Emma (Blog 2)

For this response I have focused on Emma’s post on Pedagogy.

Thanks for your post Emma. I liked your analysis of student-centered teaching methods tailored to meet diverse learning needs, using online tools like Zoom, learner autonomy through connectivism, the importance of communication skills for instructors, and your acknowledgement of challenges like isolation with digital spaces. I’d like to expand on your thoughts about the use of technology in networked pedagogy – I thought it was great how you related it to our own work in this EDCI class! The collaboration and sharing of ideas is easier with Google Docs and discussion boards as you mentioned, and I could add that digital project planning tools like Slack or Trello can enhance collaboration even further! On the topic of digital environments, the challenge of isolation is tricky to deal with. The best we can do, in my opinion, is promote strategies llike virtual study groups or regular video check-ins. Great blog post!
